American music producer and entrepreneur, Andre Romelle Young, known professionally as Dr. Dre appears to be a happy man as he ends his decades-old marriage to Nicole Young.
Dr. Dre and Nicole Young were married for 25 years but as announced American entertainment industry figure, Breyon Prescott, in an Instagram post sighted by African Entertainment, their marriage has finally come to an end.
Prescott wrote on Instagram late on Friday night, December 10, 2021, “Hey well my brother @drdre just told me it’s final!!! Congrats.”
He shared an image of Dr Dre smiling of in front of balloons that spell out “DIVORCED AF.”
It would be recalled that in June 2020, Nicole Young filed for divorce from Dr. Dre at the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
She cited irreconcilable differences as basis for the divorce.
At the beginning of 2021 as African Entertainment previously reported, the music mogul, Dr. Dre was directed by the court to pay Young $2 million in spousal support by January 11.
The Court also asked him to cater for her expenses and the cost of maintaining their Malibu, California residence.
Again in July of 2021, Dr. Dre was ordered temporarily to pay Nicole around $3.5 million in yearly spousal support, or around $300,000 a month.
Dr. Dre married Nicole Young in 1996 and have two adult children namely Truice and Truly.
The record producer has four children from his previous relationships: Tyra, La Tanya Danielle, Marcel and Curtis Young.
He lost his son Andre Young Jr in 2008. Andre Young Jr was aged 20.
Dr Dre is the founder and CEO of Aftermath Entertainment and Beats Electronics.
He previously co-founded, co-owned, and was the president of Death Row Records.
He was born February 18, 1965 (age 56 years), in Compton, California, United States, according to his biography obtained by African Entertainment from Wikipedia.
