The Minister Delegate at the Ministry of External Relations in charge of Relations with the Islamic World, Adoum Gargoum has passed away, the Prime Minister Head of Government has announced.
According to a statement from the Director of Cabinet at the Prime Minister’s Office, Balungeli Confiance Ebune at the Ministry of External Relations, Minister Adoum Gargoum passed away on Monday, March 8 in Yaounde after a brief illness.
“Adoum Gargoum served Cameroon with honour, determination and loyalty in his capacity as member of goverment,” read the statement issued by Balungeli Confiance.
“The Prime Minister expresses condolences to the family of the deceased and the entire government”.
He was last seen in public in February when he granted an audience to the Turkish Ambassador to Cameroon.
He will be buried in strict Muslim tradition. The Head of State, Paul Biya will be represented at the burial by the Director of Civil Cabinet Samuel Mvondo Ayolo.
